Article-XT helps you create Adobe Acrobat PDF files based on QuarkXPress documents. Using Article-XT, you can define articles in your document, consisting of several text or picture boxes. When the PDF files are later viewed using the Adobe Acrobat Reader, these articles are presented as contiguous texts, which substantially increases their readability.
Text boxes that are linked together to a single story within QuarkXPress always belong to the same article. Several stories or picture boxes can be put together to an article by assigning them a common article name through the Article Palette.
When QuarkXPress creates PostScript output from the document, Article-XT includes information about the articles defined in the document. This information is recognized by the Adobe Acrobat Distiller and merged into the resulting PDF file. Article-XT does not support the Chooser extension Acrobat PDFWriter.
